About me
I grew up in the Yorkshire Pennines and then studied at Newcastle medical school, with one year studying in London, much travelling, outdoor voluntary youth work and expeditions.
Working in the Northeast, Carlisle and Devon, I progressed through training in paediatrics before completing my general practice training in Newcastle and Durham.
I moved to East Lothian in 2005, and joined the Harbours practice team in 2006. I love being part of our close and vibrant team and the daily variety in family medicine that general practice brings. Supporting and training future GPs and learning together through education is both a joy and privilege.
I am passionate about people, well-being, community, the outdoors , and helping us all to become the best versions of ourselves.
Outside work you are likely to find me enjoying time with family and friends, and being active outdoors. Also relaxing with cooking, gardening, growing vegetables, camping ....and occasionally more crazy endeavours like swimming across the Forth!
Usual days: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday
