About me
I qualified in Sheffield in 1983 and did my early years in hospital and GP training in the north of England. A year of voluntary work as director of a medical project in Guatemala followed. Then 10 years in the west of Ireland combined work as an island GP with running a smallholding with goats, pigs, poultry and vegetables....also fitting in the completion of my GP training in South Wales, and study of Tibetan medicine here in Scotland. I moved to a GP partnership in Edinburgh, resigning this in favour of full time parenting for 9 years. I returned to GP work as locum in numerous practices in Edinburgh and Lothians. I have always admired the positive mindset and friendliness of the Harbours practice and have been privileged to spend increasing amounts of time here and find my place as part of this great team.
Outside work I enjoy yoga, being outdoors including walking with my dog and gardening, and time with the family.
