Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm Screening

Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm National Screening Programme is a relatively new scheme.

All men 65 years of age will be sent an invitation to have this screening done. Anyone 65 year of age before the scheme started can self-refer by phoning – 0131 242 3606. You will be asked all the relevant questions and issued with an appointment. East Lothian appointments will mostly be at Roodlands General Hospital which has a very high waiting list but you may be offered an appointment elsewhere if you are able to attend.
