FLU INFORMATION 2020
Flu Vaccine for patients aged 60 - 64 years
This age group has now been added to the Scottish Government's Seasonal Flu Programme.
There will be walk in clinics at Musselburgh Primary Care Centre on 12th and 13th of December and at Knox Academy on 19th and 20th of December.
These will be the only clinics available for our Practice. We are unable to give this vaccine here at the practice. Please see attached document for details. 60 - 64 Year old
Flu Vaccine for Patients 18 - 64 in the "At Risk" Group
There will be walk in clinics at Musselburgh Primary Care Centre on 12th and 13th of December and at Knox Academy on 19th and 20th of December for anyone in this group that missed the previous clinics. No appointment needed - please see attached document for details. 18 - 64 "At Risk Group"
Flu Vaccine for Patients aged Over 65
You can arrange an appointment with the practice or with your local pharmacy to have your flu vaccine this year.
The Harbours Medical Practice
If you would like to attend the Practice please call Reception on 0300 790 6244 between 2.30pm - 5.30pm the reception team will take your details and we will call you with an appointment. The clinics are being held outside the building. When you attend the practice for your appointment you will be directed to a specific window for the vaccine to be administered.
Please wear a face covering when you attend your appointment and wear a short sleeved top under your jacket for ease of vaccination.
Your local Pharmacy can also give your flu vaccine
If you would find it more convenient to attend your local pharmacy please call them to arrange an appointment. There is no charge for this service after 28 September 2020.
AGED 12 – 18 YEARS on “At Risk Register”
Please call the practice to arrange an appointment – 0300 790 6244 between 2.30pm - 5.30pm.
UNDER 5’s
You will receive a letter with an appointment from Child Health with details on where and when you are to attend for the nasal flu. The nasal flu for Under 5's is NOT being administered at the practice this year.
